Météo-France System 9 seasonal forecast maps
Météo-France seasonal forecast maps (C3S system 9) for temperature, precipitation, pressure and SST anomalies and probabilities, compared with four other seasonal models.
The Météo-France seasonal system is based on the CNRM climate model, which couples the ARPEGE-Climat atmosphere with the NEMO ocean and the GELATO sea-ice model. It is one of the longest-running contributions to the Copernicus multi-system ensemble.
The Copernicus catalogue lists the current configuration as system 9. This site retains the full encoded ensemble of 51 forecast members and uses the matching hindcast for the 1993–2016 reference period. The system version is resolved separately for every initialization, so an upgrade at Météo-France shows up as a new version label on the map panel rather than as a silent change.

New initializations are imported monthly. The system version is taken from the live Copernicus catalogue for each run, so the version shown on a map panel always matches the data behind it.
